Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I'm glad mine is over, cuz it was just really stressful and busy. It was nice, but still busy. Oooh, I just remembered I have pumpkin pie in my fridge. I made it yesterday for Davin's family dinner. It made 3 small pies as well as 6 tarts. I took 3 of the pies with me to a dinner of about 20 people and came home with 2 pies (I was able to send half of the third with Davin's sister). Now, I'm a really good baker so it puzzled me that nobody would eat my pie. Oh well, more for me. I froze one and the other is sitting in my fridge.

I got some pretty nice stuff for Christmas. A few things were: a lighted makeup mirror with a built in jewellry box, 2 skeins of Manos del Uruguay in Colourway 113 (the exact colour of "My So Called Scarf") to make myself my own MSCS, Loop D Loop, A Knitting Pattern a Day Calendar, tickets to go see Cinderella the musical at the local theatre, a Toronto Maple Leafs bear ornament, and that's all I can think of for now. Also gifted to me by Santa were 4 FOs (and a Partridge in a pear tree)!!!

FO #1: Kandi's Brazillian Panta (in Paton's Decor)

Now, forgiveness please, it was not meant for me to wear and thus does not look great on me. On my sister, with her dreads, it looks just plain cool. Also, ignore the giant zits on my chin. I figure it's a side effect of the Christmas goodies.

FO #2: Jill's Poncho (in Moonlight Mohair)

FINALLY fringed. It took awhile until I got the hang of pulling the fringe through the work and through it's own loop in one semi-smooth movement.

D'ya like my model pose???

FO #3: Jill's Skinny Scarf/Belt (in Matrix)

I don't really have a whole lot to say about this one other than that the needles I used to knit it really sucked and made it take forever.

Excuse me for the flash glare. Everyone thought it was beaded from far away so I was happy.

FO #4: Logan's Hat (ahem, in the cheapest damn acrylic I could get my grubby little paws on)

I just knit this as a went along, trying to copy the semi-basketweave pattern of the sweater that my MIL had bought for Logan. As modelled by Davin:

Well, my dearies, I have to go clean my disgusting powder room. I leave you with some wonderful yarn porn.

All the build up to Christmas and then it is just stressful and exausting . . . I hear ya!! But it was good too, right? I love your new yarn!! I got the same calendar . . . we can knit along together all through the year!!!! All of your FO's are just wonderful - I'm so very impressed. I'm sure everyone loved them. I loved to color of the Panta and the stitch pattern looks really cool. Your poncho is so pretty and the belt/scarf looks like the perfect sparkly accessory to give any outfit a zip. The hat is just too cute - did you actually make up the pattern as you went? Wow!! My powder room is pretty scary too, but I'm leaving it until tomorrow. :)

Your porn does not disappoint!! I LOVE the colorway- how beautiful is that??!! Can't wait to see what you decide to knit up with that incredible yarn. Glad to hear you had a nice Christmas...I know what you mean about the stressful and busy part, though! Awesome job on all the FO's, missy! And I don't know what you're talking about- that Panta looks great on you! Well, when you're that pretty, I guess you can pretty much pull any look off. ;-) Great poncho and the scarf is especially pretty. Love the Davin modelled hat, too- so cute! I also received that calendar, so we can all definitely do a KAL together! And hey, feel free to send that pumpkin pie this way...:-) Take care!! :-)

I love the manos, such beautiful colours, and your Panta turned out great. My well intentioned Pantas never did make to the needles, too much to do before christmas. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Talitha.
